TAB – Navajo Textile Styles

Navajo Textile Styles

Originally the name of a regional rug designated the general areas where they were first designed and made. These regions were the exclusive source for the rugs bearing the area name, design and colors. However, in recent years rugs of all styles are woven throughout the Reservation. There are no longer regional rugs, only regional styles.
